Nopparat - Krabi, Thailand

Nopparat Thara Beach is a two kilometre stretch of white sand, situated on the Western side of the Ao Nang Bay, facing South. It is protected by the two kilometre long, rocky and tree lined Peninsular, which marks the Western edge of the Krabi district. This protects the beach area from the South West trade winds and makes it ideal for family swimming and other water sports.

Nopparat Thara is the closest beach to the town area of Ao Nang and therefore most convenient for shopping and other facilities. The Beach road is lined with Casuarina trees, ideal for providing natural shade, when touring the area. Nightlife is readily available and can be enjoyed in true, laid-back style. Remember, this beach is quite, so bring your beach mat and packed lunch, find a nice spot and enjoy just lazing in the sun.

Located just 18 kilometres west of Krabi Town, in the Ao Nang Bay, the best arrival location is Krabi Airport. If you are in Phuket, a two hour drive through the Phang-nga bay is a wonderful introduction to the amazing scenery you will discover, when visiting Krabi district. If you are feeling energetic on arrival, a rocky island, just one kilometre from the beach, can be visited at low tide.
