Introduction to Krabi Town

Krabi Town is the administrative capital of the Krabi province, encompassing a vast area, including 130 Islands in the Andaman Sea. Krabi has its own international Airport and is therefore the main arrivals destination for tourists visiting the area.
Krabi Town is flanked by two rivers that join together at its southern point and flow into the Andaman Sea. Its northern border is typical of the area with natural forests of mangrove and cassia trees.

Krabi Airport is located close to Krabi Town and about 800 kilometres South of Bangkok, in Southern Thailand. Flights are readily available to the Airport, but many travellers who are familiar with the region, choose a two centre holiday starting in Phuket, which is a two hour car drive to Krabi. Krabi Town road links in all directions make it possible for extensive travel by car, including planned trips to cross the Thailand border, into Malaysia.
