Krabi Town is the administrative capital of the Krabi province, encompassing a vast area, including 130 Islands in the Andaman Sea. Krabi has its own international Airport and is therefore the main arrivals destination for tourists visiting the area.
Krabi Town is flanked by two rivers that join together at its southern point and flow into the Andaman Sea. Its northern border is typical of the area with natural forests of mangrove and cassia trees.

Krabi Town is an ideal location to set up a base and organize tours to the surrounding area. There are independent Travel Agencies, the Thai Tourist Office, normal shopping facilities, speciality book shops and sophisticated medical treatment facilities. Basically, everything you might need and would expect to find in a provincial Town, prior to setting off to the beach areas.

Krabi Airport is located close to Krabi Town and about 800 kilometres South of Bangkok, in Southern Thailand. Flights are readily available to the Airport, but many travellers who are familiar with the region, choose a two centre holiday starting in Phuket, which is a two hour car drive to Krabi. Krabi Town road links in all directions make it possible for extensive travel by car, including planned trips to cross the Thailand border, into Malaysia.
