Haad Yao - Krabi, Thailand

Considered to be the most recent area for attention by the large Hotel Groups, this new and unspoilt area, is the place for those who want ultimate relaxation, away from the crowd. Had Yao Beach, meaning Long Beach, is a six kilometre stretch of open beach, facing South West, across the Phang-nga Bay.

To the north, the more developed areas of Krabi Town and Ao Nang have become highly developed for tourism. To the South West, the Phi Phi Islands, also fully developed, can be seen in the distance from the beach.
Since Had Yao Beach is located on a wide peninsular and relatively isolated from other areas further up the coast, options for travel throughout the areas will require organising. Since it is so quiet, if you want nightlife outside the hotel grounds, allow forty minutes for travelling by car from Haad Yao to the resort area of Ao Nang.

Had Yao Beach is located just twenty minute drive from the Krabi International Airport, South of the Town. Flights are available from Bangkok and other Thailand cities daily. International flights are also on the increase, particularly from the Countries of Scandinavia.
